Возможна ли мораль без Атеизма?

Иногда возникает ситуации, когда мы пассивным путем получаем выгоду обманным путем, например кассир обсчитался и дал больше сдачи, заплату выдали за день когда ты не работал, и.т.д. Ситуаций можно придумать много, когда вместо того что бы кого то обмануть активно, мы оказываемся в этой ситуации пассивно, и на оборот должны активно исправить ситуацию.

Так вот, я думаю, и опираясь на немногие наблюдения, что атеист может тоже в большинстве случаев не будет активно идти и исправлять ошибку которая принесла ему выгоду неверным путем. Но он будет знать что он совершил что то не хорошое, может будет пытаться объяснять это взваливая вину на жертву, что мол сами виноваты, и.т.д. но будет знать что это было не правильно.

Религиозные / верующие же люди в свою очередь, принимают получившую выгоду как манну небесную, что всевышние силы помиловали их, и в своей всевышней мудрости подали ми таким образом.

На бытовом уровни видно людей которые морали читают всем вокруг какая Европа безбожная, гейская, аморальная, и ближе надо с богом жить, с радостью прикарманивают лишний стольник случайно попавший в сдачи  и радуются милости божий за то что они такие правые и верующие. И пузатые священники разъезжающие на черных мерседесах с золотыми крестами, и проповедников отбирающих последние у толп прихожан объясняя это сомнительное происхождение богатства божим даром.

Религия - это удар по человеческому достоинству. С ней или без неё будут хорошие люди, делающие хорошие вещи, и плохие люди, делающие плохие вещи. А хорошие люди, делающие плохие вещи, это и есть религия Стивен Вайнберг, американский физик, лауреат Нобелевской премии.

Непопулярные мысли.

Конечно тут не высшей полет глубокий, просвещенных и хорошо сформулированных идей.
Просто некие мысли которые не дают покоя, пока их не запишешь что бы забыть.

Така как я не особо хорошо пишу сразу на двух языках, русском и английском то посетители были в первую очередь из Америки и на втором месте из России.

Ради интереса могу поделится что статья* которая на первом месте по читаемости всех времен называется "А кому сегодня легко?". Вторая, третья и четвертая тоже написана на русском, и только на пятом месте статья написана на английском, что то про марихуану с 2008го года.

Так вот уже год, судя по статистики blogger.com у меня не одного посетителя из России.

Может на столько мои мысли стали далеки от россиян что даже уже случайно никто не нажимает не в яндаксе не в гуугле на мои посты как раньше, не говоря о целенаправленных посетителях. А может жить стало так легко что даже самый популярный заголовок больше не привлекает россиян, все и так все знают.

Кто знает?

To challenge the medieval brain.

We are getting smarter, and things we previously were exited by, seem childish now.

Yet we maintain our medieval unenlightned mindset, and still crave the supernatural power. Finding new beliefs, with ever greater complexity, to entertain our mind.

But until we realize the necesity of humanistic ideas as a consequence of the enlightenment, and loose the belief in supernatural powers, like a blindfold lifting from our eyes, we will never move forward, but will continue to stumble around in the darkness. Looking for enlightenment on the outside, without being able to explain what it looks like.

I am the only good one in here.

The thing bad people are good at, is imagining how good, bad people are.

Immigrant problem in Europe

There is a problem, there is no arguing against it, visible by the raise in popularity of the clearly nazi influenced parties in Europe.

I have came up with a solution no one talks about:

The recent wave of immigrants is from the countries where U.S.A. recently have installed or still installing "Democracy", such as Irak, Syria, Libya. Where we now as a consequence of that U.S. involvement have Islamic State and thousands of people forced to leave their home.

The solution is obvious, sending big cruising ships with immigrants, directly from the shores of Greece, Italy, Spain to United States . They made the mess, they should help well... helping.

U.S. helping people whose misery they are at least indirectly but in many cases directly responsible for would be fair, both for the people that are in need of help, and for the Europe crumbling under pressure from consequences of U.S. misstakes.

Peace

Airplane prayer.

Belief of faith have always a reason for it, sometimes tradition but often and maybe in some cases caused by tradition, the reasons are despair, helplessness, illness, aimlessness e.t.c.

The same way even most rigid atheist will appeal to higher powers in a falling airplane, there are many religious people in prisons, poor neighbourhoods and other dire conditions.

Whenever you loose control in your life, belief and faith start creeping in, less you are able to change the situation, more you believe it the higher powers controlling your life.

Faith is not necessary belief in Almighty good god, it can come in many forms, one can believe in almighty state(s) that will eventually sort it all out for them, usually combined with a strong leader without whom everything will be lost, and as such states usually don't fare very well, the faith in the leader is paradoxically increased, because there are problems, but he will take them to the bright future.

Feeling the age and decreased physical abilities one might start strongly believing in different kinds of food therapies, and diets.

But faith comes in many forms, and instead of trying to reach for the good, one might have faith in the devil, that is intentionally is making life difficult for you.

This devil can,  beside the classical variety, can also be expressed in different ways, it might once again be the state, but usually a foreign one, and today usually it is the USA, which represents all the reason for your problems.

This completes the state faith, your state has big problems because of USA, you believe and support your great leader yo stand up to that, and are prepared to live in bad conditions for that cause, the great leader for some reason, despite all his greatness is able to build new tanks, but not feed the people, therefore the living conditions and ability to change anything decrease, and faith in the leader increases.

Other negative personalities popular in modern religions are illuminate, Bilderberg group or any other group you pick as the reason for all your problems, as we have seen this group can be as large as a whole race of people.

Or obviously if you are on the dietary faith, everything you for some reason decide not to it is the enemy which is the cause for your health problems, most common is probably meat.

One can think of many more examples, but all of them has one thing in common, reach for the good, blame it on the bad. It is sometimes difficult to see the faith in the things people do, but whenever a person viciously defends or promotes one point of view, and is unwilling to hear any arguments against, that is a clear sign of faith.

Any person getting emotional, angry, irrational when talking about his faith clearly has issues in his life. Because otherwise talking about it would't be personal. Because faith by its nature is not personal, it's intellectual, you have a set of ideas which you hold true, and unless those ideas help or identify you on a personal level, any doubt expressed towards those ideas creates no friction, unless that criticism undermines your own personality that needs those ideas to function properly, i.e. sign of an issue.

Let say you are white, middle aged, highly educated, employed, man in good health, having lived an average life and maybe even having a steady relationship, you won't have any existential issues, life will be rather easy, for the most part there is no crisis, and you have no reason to pray, and will probably consider yourself atheist, or be interested in religions on a pure intellectual level, or more probably interested in philosophy.

This will be true as long as conditions for comfortable living are true, when the job is lost, belief in the all mighty illuminati ruling the world is strengthened, when the society falls apart, faith is placed in the state and the great leader, when you gain some weight and health become worse with age, 5-2 diet got to be the solution, and falling in an airplane one prays and hopes for the mortal soul and an afterlife and good god to take care of you.

But until that point, while the airplane is still flying, health is good, life is comfortable there is time to explore the world, try different things, ideas, confirm some, dismiss others, learn, teach.

Because praying in a falling plane makes sense, praying in an well functioning plane instead of flying it will make it fall.

In any case both planes will end up on the ground but the piloted ones will land while the the others will crash.

Not everyone get the chance to pilot their plane, some are forced to prepare for the crash from the birth, some are unable some are able but incapable and yet others are capable but unwilling. But those who succeed and land will take the humanity forward, and live on in the generations to come.

Faith is not the only way people handle the falling plane, alcohol and panic, inability to do anything ore some of the other things one can be occupied with.

Don't remember shit.

Remembering shit, bringing shit up later, whatever it might be is never a good idea.

It is like a horror movie you have seen when you were a kid, it was scary then but now it's not scary at all.

It's things you thought were profound but now are completely mundane.

Whatever it might be, is a part of you now, and bringing it up makes no sense for anyone else.

Когда все кругом враги, а Украинцы и Белорусы вообще не народ, просто недоделанные Русские, и вообще Русские самая великая, древняя и мудрая нация. А во всех бедах и нищите народа как минимум 100 лет это всё Американцы, Британцы, Евреи, Пятая колонны, Либералы, Геи, Фашисты, Иностранные Агенты виноваты, не дают великому народу с колен встать.

Кругом враги, в том числе и Казахстан, и Китай, они просто пока нужные враги, да и Беларусь не спешит следовать крымскому примеру. А про Украину вообще говорит нечего, там за одну ночь вся страна превратилась в фашистскую хунту, и ничего что 80% кричащие ура Крым наш даже не могут обьяснить что это значит и собственно в чём этот фашизм заключается, кроме как великий вождь Путин сказал. А выдуманный фашизм в Украине пропорционален и на прямую вытекает из уровня нацизма в России.

The happiness

Two things will affect your outlook on life in such a way that all other things will be of little consequence regarding how happy you are.

Happiness should not mistakenly be confused with bliss or other momentarily pleasant experiences in the same way love is not the same as sexual attraction.

Unexpectedly, the happiness is in your head, you might have heard this many times, that it's all about how you perceive the situation. Two different people can perceive a situation so that one will be happy or indifferent to it and the other very unhappy with it.

Hearing that it is all in your head doesn't help much though, by hearing it one don't just go - oh, all right, I will be happy about then. It doesn't work that way, because we can't change how we perceive things and change how we feel at will.

How we perceive things and feel about them is to big extent determined by your goals and motivations. There are no explicit goals or motivations that will make everyone happy, and that is good, this way there is multiplicity. They can however be internal or external to you.

Internal thing to you is what you decide, how you perceive yourself, how you want others to perceive you e.t.c. thing usually called ego. Though ego has received a lot of bad reputation recently it is't necessarily so. Unless you plan to live in a monastary somewhere in the east, you probably need it to survive.

External is as it sounds things outside you and your mind and ego.

Now we have a 2x2 grid, on one side, motivations and goals on the other internal and external. Those four combinations will determine how one perceive this world, what one achieves and how one feels about it.

Internal Motivation, Internal Goals: Internal motivation means that you motivate yourself, usually by wanting to achieve certain things, better grades, money, car, house, being better than someone e.t.c. this is usually what is said to the ego talking. Internal goals means that in the end though the thing your want to achieve is to improve yourself, be better then others, have more knowledge, money, better grades, more skills, be more religious e.t.c. This is what is often described when giving ego a bad reputation, because it is easy to see how such personality could be very egoistic and hurt himself and people around if not careful. This kind of people achieve extreme things when it comes to overcoming human limitation, but despite that, there is always room to improve, besides it becomes more difficult with age, and hence increasingly difficult to be happy.

Internal Motivation, External Goals: External goals is to bring, change or improve something in/to this world. People with internal motivation can decide for themselves to be millioners or to save the forest, become an artist, or whatever their ego desire, and they damn well will get out there and do it, or die trying. This creates great sense of purpose and happiness for a while, but in the end regardless of whether the goal was achieved or not there comes a point where one inevitably thinks if all this effort was worth it, that in the end, whatever motivation your ego have dreamt up, doesn't necessarily make you happy.

External Motivation, Internal Goals:  External motivations is inspired by the world, people, ideas. Things around you, things you know, gives you desire to achieve. Internal goals, that is something for yourself. Examples can be people going on different events, festivals, lectures, learning how to do things, exploring the world around but focusing mainly on internal goals, i.e. self improvement often expressed in a form where people buy a lot of stuff they don't need. This is all good and well, but in the end it is often called shallow hedonism and is seldom associated with lasting happiness.

External Motivation, External Goals: You are motivated and inspired by the things around, the world stimulates and motivates you to take action and you do it to change, improve, bring new things into this world, and help others. Therefore motivation, i.e. purpose / meaning is never questioned, it is demanded not by you, but by the world, what can be greater? The things you do and improve, will last for generations beyond and maybe even help the humanity as a whole, which is a great goal. Being on such path, everyday problems seem inconsequential, todays problems doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Sure things are tough, but it's beautiful outside, I think I'll go and paint a picture. There is happiness to be found all around.

Happiness is like fingers, it's nice to have them, but you don't really think bout it, you are busy doing things with them, but if you miss some, you think about it.

Now, I am not sure that changing ones motivation or goal is any easier that any other stupid advice about happiness being in your head, but my intuitive guess that it is. People change all the time, what they like, are motivated by e.t.c. maybe by focusing in a certain direction it is possible to be motivated by, to do the thing, which will make everyone happy.

Васю поймали за руку когда он воравал у Тараса, а он оправдывается что Петя курит за школой и его никто не ругает.

Belief

I believe in this or that because it's easier to live that way is a common explanation or its usually boils down to it.

This is precisely the reason why it's dangerous, because you don't ask yourself why it is difficult in the first place and what you can do about it.

It can be useful in certain situations, in the moments of grief or other hopeless situations in any other it is harmful.

- Смотри они кричат про свободу и демократию, а их ведут как баранов куда хотят, для них свобода это выбор между кока-колой и пепси-колой а на самом деле ими управляют те кто имеют денги и возможность манипулировать.

- Да вы посмотрите на себя, вы как бараны молчити когда все ваше стадо обносят забором, власти безпридельничают, коррупция беззаконие и ничего нестоящая человеческая жизнь а вы кричити ура товарищи.

- Да у вас гей парады и всякое иное разложение общества а мы тут светлое будущее строим...

- Да у вас и общества нет, страна рабов, страна господ мы тут свободны...

И стоят так, одни за забором, другие возле забора и не слушают друг друга. Оправдывают что именно их стадо в отличие от всех остальных само добровольно себя забором окружило, а другое стадо что добровольно именно тут пасется, и в любой момент может уйти, просто не хочет.

Fight the system!

By system I mean any set of rules determining the outcome.

It is good to have a system when you don’t know what to do, there is no best way to do things or in the case of seemingly meaningless existence.

For example I am no artist, for me, placing an object one distance away from the edge or another or choosing one color over another doesn’t matter, I don’t really see the fundamental difference so to speak, but for an artist the choice is obvious.

So when I don’t know what to do, I might pick a system let say to use fibonacci numbers as much as possible. When I need to place an object, It can be place anywhere and be of any size, but I find a way to fit some kind of fibonacci number somewhere in there and suddenly I have found the way. Before I had many options and no one was better than the other, now I have a system for limiting choice and giving me foundation / reason for my actions. 

Even easier example, card games, in some games it might be hard to calculate the probabilities of opponent hands, keep track of the remaining cards e.t.c. so a system that simplifies it all might be used, which will get your game to the next level, but never up to the level of people that actually can play the game.

This makes life much easier. One is no longer lost in the cloud of indeterminism. There is an answer for any problem. Also if the system works it will consistently deliver good results with great efficiency, having a systematic job when you follow a set of rules to accomplish a task is easy, so easy that robots can do it sometimes, and do. Hence systemizing everything is great for the ease of mind, productivity and consistent results.

Of course this does’t change peoples perception, an artist might look at my fibonacci creation and shake his head in disbelief about how someone can make such utter crap. The system while working and being efficient might produce undesired results or a system that once produced great result might now be outdated. For example apple used fake material such as wood and leather in their applications for a while, they had a system, which said that such design should be used to increase the premium feeling. But then they noticed some problems with that system and changed it to another system to make things cleaner, simpler and focus on the content, now they are following that system. Same thing goes for any other system, they should all be used with caution, especially if the system make your life easy and removes the need to think. There are many examples of when systems go wrong especially political ones. 

Because the problem with a system is that you don’t really know the correct answer this is why you follow it, otherwise you would’t need a system. It is therefore easy to mindlessly keep on doing the wrong thing hoping that it will work out in the end.

Any system must therefore be regularly revised, one must look at the results and say that it’s all good, and if it isn’t then one must tweak or change the system. But because a system is the cause / foundation / reason for ones action one eventually starts to identifies with it, because who are you if not what you do, and any criticism of the system will be taken personally, system must be defended at any cost.

The system that makes up you, i.e. the set of rules that determine your actions, the one that must be defended at any cost, is probably fair to call your ego. And if you think there is’t any, there is, for in the same situation, you would act in the same matter, it is also called for rationality to be consistent in ones behavior, which is determined by your system even if you don’t actively choose to follow a certain rule each time you decide something. You for example don’t steal when you go to the store, regardless of how many times you go there, you don’t think about it, but if I would to ask you, you would say that this is the thing I just don’t do, it goes against who I am, I believe it is wrong.

Our beliefs are probably the biggest and most important system there is, we don’t know fundamentally the most important thing, what is the meaning if it all, with life, universe and everything. So we make up a set of rules, a story about our selves which we follow. It can be religious, it is very convenient to have religious rituals to follow, but it can also be anything else, being vegetarian, workaholic, anything as long as you have some steps you can take every day without thinking about the big picture.

Because often when you confront someones system, which is very strongly related to their ego, something that in their world is certain, and you explain that it is not, you often hear the argument that anything is possible then, it is madness, you take away the stairway from underneath their feet which they claimed with great certainty. Therefore when a person used certain strong belief as the fundamental basis for their actions for a long time, it becomes who they are, and trying to question the system, is to question them. It doesn’t need to be religion, for example people that associate them selves strongly with their nationality, have a very hard time accepting criticism of their country.

By the time I wrote all this, I forgot what the real point of it all was, except for be careful with your system.

Dags för EU valet

EU-parlamentet behöver partier som försöker lösa konkreta problem, som har ett större mål annat än att bli valda, som har ett jobb att göra annat än att glida i korridorer, idag ser jag bara ett två partier som uppfyller kravet, Miljöpartiet och Pirat Partiet.

Helst av allt skulle jag dock vilja ha ett kompetent parti, som består av forskare, filosofer och professorer i sitt respektive fält, som vet hur man tacklar olika problem. Idag däremot har vi politiker som är de-fakto säljare, dom säljer in sig själva i makten, men deras kompetens att ta beslut för hela befolkningen ifrågasätter ingen.

Vi behöver inga politiker eller partier, vi har universitet fulla med folk som kan ta fram bättre beslut på respektive fråga än vad någon politiker någonsin kommer att göra. Det är ju bara dela ut uppdrag eller göra mer av ett företags liknande schema där man anställer kompetenta personer, jag är säker på att sådana detaljer går att lösa.

Idag däremot baseras hela systemet idag på kollektiv intelligens, i hopp att om man samlar tillräckligt många människor som inte nödvändigtvis kan någonting så kommer dom tillsammans bilda någon slags kollektiv intelligens och ändå ta rätt beslut.

Det kanske fungerar vad vet jag, kolla på länder där en eller ett fåtal personer styr, som t.e.x. Nordkorea, medan i Sverige har vi det faktiskt rätt bra. Vi tror att det beror på demokrati e.t.c. men i själva verket beror det bara på kollektiv intelligens.

I så fall bör vi låta hela befolkningen rösta om alla lagförslag, tekniken fins ju redan, nästan alla har en dator med internet anslutning.

Men tills dess för att undvika att några få får makten, tänker jag rösta på Pirat Partiet.

A burning candle

When we light up a candle during meditation, or in a church, we do not expect but on some level hope that it will have some magical effect.

And so it is with all belief.

It's just a candle burning.

The meaning of life,

is what your do, from one moment to the next moment.

Because after all, sum of all those moments is what will be your life in the end. Whatever your life means in the end is the meaning of it.

Hence every moment of your life, you are creating the meaning (it will in the end have), knowingly or not.

Though not knowing it, you risk in the end discover that the meaning of your life was not very good one.

Therefore it is better to discover it early on.

If you now don't move your life towards the meaning you want it to have, you are drifting like a leaf in a river, you might end up in a good place, you might not.

If you don't know where every moment of your life is taking you, then there is no thing more important than trying to find out, where your want to end up in the end.

Религия,

как колесо для белки.

Если некуда идти, нет выхода, то бежать на месте в колесе может создать иллюзию движения и даже счастья и спасения.

А садиться добровольно, или еще хуже, сажать тех у кого еще все пути открыты в колесо очевидно вредно.

No free will in causality.

Free will necessitates lack of causality. Otherwise any act would be just a consequence of previous events. But since causality is absolute. Free will is an illusion, an act of choice with predetermined outcome. Unless an tool is used which is not affected by causality, so that no previous events can determine its outcome I.e a coin. And hence the chain of cause and effect is broken, no matter of how many butterflies flap their wings anywhere the hurricane is stopped by a coin.

Again on pleasure

Though claiming that everyone only pursuit their pleasure either directly or indirectly, we still distinguish hedonists as something generally bad from the rest of us, without really knowing the difference. 

Which might go something like this;

To maximize or gain pleasure some action must be performed.

While a true hedonist chooses the action which maximizes pleasure, other people consider the actions and try to minimize the harm.

And the flip side of course are the people that maximize the minimization of harm for pleasure, hence miss out on a lot of pleasure but take pleasure in thinking that there is a higher reward for it on the end. The clearest example is of course religious people.

Maybe it is easier to start maximizing minimization of harm when one has difficulties attaining pleasures, one either start recycling, gets religious or finds some other higher cause or one might flip and instead start trying to maximize pleasure in any way available, robbing old ladies and kids.

But is pleasure maximization sustainable regardless of path taken with harm minimization or not?
